Living Word Event Diary

Talks take place at Letchworth Free Church Hall, Letchworth, North Hertfordshire at 8pm on the first Saturday of each month. The church is in the centre of the town 2 minutes drive from the A1 Letchworth and Baldock intersection (see directions and map link below). Entrance is free, but we appreciate donations of about £1 - 2 per person to cover our costs.

Directions
From junction 9 on the A1 you travel along a dual carriage way (A6141) negotiating an elongated roundabout where you take the third exit towards the Town Centre. You will come to a normal roundabout with St Paul's Church opposite you. You take the second exit which is on the right of the church called Pixmore Way. This comes to another smaller roundabout where you turn right into Norton Way South. You take the first left into Gernon Road (at a double roundabout) and the Free Church car park is immediately on your right. There is additional parking over the road by the park.

About Us and General Information

Living Word was established in the 1990's to bring high quality preaching and evangelism to the North Hertfordshire area of the UK. It is a non-profit organisation run by a small number of ordinary Christians from various churches committed to clear proclamation of the gospel to both the unbeliever and the Christian. We enjoy the leadership of the fine evangelist, Bernard Palmer and the Baptist minister, Derek Moore-Crispin.
The early meetings were held at the home of Bernard and Rosy Palmer under the name of 'Relevant Bible'. When we introduced a regular monthly schedule we moved to a local school hall before meeting at our present venue, the local Free Church Hall in Letchworth. At this time the ministry was renamed 'Living Word' and we adopted Hebrews 4:12 as our key mission verse:

 

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

All the meetings have been taped and going forward we hope to establish links with the St Helen's Tape Ministry in London to help promote this excellent resource worldwide. The speakers are the leading Bible teachers of the day and have included John Lennox, Dick Lucas, David Jackman, Chris Ash and John Blanchard.
